What is the hood made of?
This hood is made of 3/4” thick hardwood veneer plywood with solid hardwood trim.
Will my blower unit work with the hood?
To determine if your blower unit will fit, look at the interior dimensions of the hood. The interior hood dimensions are:
30"W - 28-1/2" wide x 18" deep
36"W - 34-1/2" wide x 18" deep
42"W - 40-1/2" wide x 18" deep
The apron is 8-1/4″ tall. If your insert is taller than this, reach out to us directly so we can determine if it will work.
What are total exterior dimensions of the hood?
For Ogee trim add 1.5″ to the hood width (example: for a 30″W hood the total exterior width is 31.5″). For Flat trim add 1/2" to the hood width (example: for a 30"W the total exterior width is 30-1/2").
What height hood do I need for my ceiling height?
We recommend 30″-36″ between your cooktop and the bottom of the hood. Typically, if you have 8 foot ceilings we would recommend a 30″ tall hood. With 9 foot ceilings we recommend a 36″ tall hood, with 9-1/2 foot ceilings we recommend a 42″ tall hood and with 10' ceilings we recommend a 48" tall hood.
Is the hood trimmable?
36"H hoods are trimmable by up to 6″ 42"H hoods are trimmable by up to 12" 48"H hoods are trimmable by up to 18"
Do not trim your hood by more than maximum amount as this will threaten its structural integrity.
